The aggressive collective promotion of Rome businesses during the holidays since 2002 has had a significant impact on sales and increased Rome sales tax revenue in the month of December, which helps to keep property taxes down.

“Shop Rome First...and WIN!” Treasure Hunt Winners

This year's Treasure Hunts have a special theme: Local, entertainment, literature, libraries, and Rome Chamber trivia from 1912, to kick off the Rome Chamber's 100th Anniversary events. Questions were researched and provided by Jervis Public Library, The Capitol Theatre, Rome Community Theater, and Rome Chamber staff. Three (3) winners shared $1,000 in gift certificates, courtesy of sponsor First Source Federal Credit Union (represented by Debbie Adamo and Amy R. DeMetri in the pictures below).
